The next Druidcraft 202 course (A Walk Through the ARDA) will begin
June 21. This will be a revised class that will encompass the NEW
improved ARDA and will take approximately 40 weeks! (Not for the

Rogue Valley (OR) Druid Summit Planned
OMS is organizing a “Rogue Valley Druid Summit” where the leaders
of
all the Druid groups represented in Southern Oregon can meet and share
concerns, methodology and simply fellowship. RDNA, ADF, Henge of
Keltria, Tuatha d’Brighid and Sisters of Avalon all have
representation here.

Financial Report For 2002
The Order collected a total of $541.00 in the fiscal year of 2002 (Jan
1 to Dec 31). All funds were deposited into the Imladris fund for the
purchase and building of our Druid Monastery.
Discussion has begun on ways to expedite the building of Imladris.
Some of the proposals thus far are:
–Make dues mandatory for all Orders (currently they are mandatory
for the Third Order up).
–Charge for classes.
–Charge an Initiation fee for each Order.
–Require that D101 students purchase “Stranger…” from us directly.
–Sell timeshares in Imladris.
–Reinstate the requirement that Groves pay a portion of dues to the
Mother Grove. The suggestion was 33%.
–Set up an online “craft” store where members could sell their home
made items, splitting the profit with Imladris.
There are other possibilities as well. The Mother Grove is inviting
all interested parties to submit ideas. We expect to institute some
kind of program by Midsummer. Comments should be directed to

Growth of the Order — 1st Quarter 2003
Currently, there are 106 Druids on the rolls.
46 Druids are “active,” which is to say, they are participating at
some level in the Order.
Of those:
–30 Druids are of the First Order.
–8 Druids are of the Second Order.
–5 Druids are of the Third Order.
—-2 of these are “conditional” (meaning they are owing dues for
the
current fiscal year).
–1 Druid is of the Fifth Order.
–2 Druids are of the Seventh Order.
13 new Druids have pledged since Imbolq.
–2 of those are now inactive.
There is currently 1 active Grove, with 4 members.
There are no active proto-Groves.
There are 3 “proposed” proto-Groves (no papers filed).
The current Druidcraft 101 class began with 98 students.
There are currently 29 students remaining (they have just received
Lesson 10).
10 students have already Pledged.

Imladris
The search for land for Imladris has shifted to Humboldt County in
California. Humboldt is the 2nd county south of the Oregon border.
The largest city is Eureka, and its biggest attribute is Redwoods. The
town we feel drawn to live closest to is Arcata, a liberal, college
town (home to Humboldt State University), located approximately in the
middle of the “Redwood Empire”. Land there is relatively inexpensive
(compared to the Rogue Valley in OR). This, and it’s even milder
weather patterns, proximity to the redwoods and the ocean, and other
factors, have caused the shift in emphasis.
